Welcome To The Animal Health Centre - Coulby Newham

The Coulby Newham surgery was purpose built and opened in August 1998. This surgery is fully equipped with particular emphasis on up to date anaesthetic and monitoring equipment. The surgery was designed using ideas that are practiced in many other purpose built surgeries where no compromises are made in the care of pets.

Surgery Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 - 18:30
Saturday 9:00 - 12:00
All consultations are for 15 minutes and are by appointment. All 'out of hours ' appointments are by arrangement through the duty vet. Please call the surgery you normally attend. If you wish to see a particular veterinary surgeon, make this known when you arrange the appointment. We can usually accommodate your wishes.
Emergencies: We provide 24-hour cover for emergency cases. During the day emergency cases will be seen immediately at our surgeries. Please telephone your usual surgery first so that we can ensure that a vet is available. When our surgeries are closed please telephone your usual surgery and an answering machine will give you the number of the vet on duty. Should your pet need to be seen, arrangements will be made with the duty vet for your pet to be examined and treated. Your pet may be dealt with by a vet who is not based at your usual surgery and you may not have seen before.
Parking: is available adjacent to our surgeries. If assistance is required with large and / or sick animals, park as close as you can without affecting traffic and come inside and ask for assistance. We strongly advise you to bring your cat in a secure carrier (available at reception if necessary) and your dogs must be under control on a suitable lead.
Fees: We do not offer credit and we expect consultation fees to be paid at the time of the consultation. After an operation fees must be paid within 14 days. When an account is sent we will include a booking fee to cover our extra costs. We do accept all major credit cards. Veterinary care is now increasingly sophisticated but, unfortunately, this tends to go hand in hand with costs. For this reason we strongly advise pet health insurance to ease one's worry at times of ill health. Leaflets and proposal forms are available in our waiting rooms.
